NOTE: MY deepest apologies to everyone who faved this picture, I tried editing it and the **** site kept deleting it. I'm being forced to re-upload it. I am VERY sorry about this!
Drawn for me at AnthroCon 2012 by Vicky Wyman of Furaffinity, here's another of those "Ponies in Pathfinder" such as "The Gneech" John Robey drew for me back at FC. This time around it's Rainbow Dash in the Shackles, the Pirate Isles of the Fever Sea... though in this world and among these people she's taken the name of Hurricane (yes, she based her new persona on that time she was in the Hearth's Warming Eve pageant).
When she first came through after the Mane Six's botched defeat of Discord, she couldn't fly or manipulate the weather anymore (though she had and has a nose for the winds that makes her a great navigator and ship's pilot); now, after a few years rising from rigger to boatswain on the Kelpie's Revenge, Dash -- sorry, Hurricane -- has finally had enough of her captain's cruelty and challenged him to a duel.
They went ashore on a small island, drew steel, and fought it out. And when she returned to the ship, it was as Captain Hurricane.
In case you're wondering why she's dressed so, ahem, lightly for a duel, it's because firstly she's spent the last few years in a tropical climate: secondly, humans don't really make armor for people with wings, and: third, she learned to rely on speed and her limited flight over being some juggernaut in battle.
And oh, she eventually met her friends again, but it wasn't an especially happy reunion...
"Dash! You became a pirate?"
"Don't judge me, Twilight. Look at what you became!"
If and when I can afford to commission the artist who did this one, yes. I would love to be able to. The problem (aside from getting the cash together) is deciding how the rest of the girls managed to fit into this other world.
I'm trying to get one for Rarity right now, though hers might be a trifle steamy in tone.
Probably. I run on the head-canon/fanon that the ponies can't really get drunk unless you put salt into the drink first; which leads to me seeing Hurricane typically drinking her crew under the table with (unsalted) rum.
If I can afford it, I'll get another one of her by Vicky Wyman (the artist who drew this one and 'Applejack the Barbarian') in the future.

Looks great.
Have you seen the Captain Morgan pictures?
